Professor Simon Goldhill is Professor of Greek Literature and Culture at the Faculty of Classics, a Fellow in Classics at King's College, the Co-Director of the Cambridge's Digital Humanities Network and the Director of Centre for Research in the Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities (CRASSH), and John Harvard Professor in the Social Sciences ands Humanities. He is a fellow of the British Academy and of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
Simon studies ancient Greek literature (focusing on Athenian tragedy) and culture, and their reception, especially in the nineteenth century. He also works on Jerusalem and the Middle east, and on Victorian Culture.
