International Development Research @ Cambridge

 

Shedden Masupe (SMIEEE) holds a BSc (Maths & Physics) from Mt Allison University, BScEng (Electrical – Communications and Fields) from University of New Brunswick, MSc (Digital Systems) from Cardiff University and a PhD (Electronics Engineering) from Edinburgh University.
 

Professor Masupe is the Chief Executive Officer at Botswana Institute For Technology Research and Innovation (BITRI). He was previously a Full Professor of Computer Engineering at BIUST and an Associate Professor of Digital Systems and Computer Engineering at the University of Botswana.

His research interests are in the areas of Computer Systems, Microprocessor Architectures, Low Power VLSI Design, Computer Vision and Smart ICT Solutions for Development.  

Professor Masupe has vast experience in both academia and Industry. He has worked for many years as an ICT consultant while coupling with varying roles in academia which saw him rise through the ranks of administration and academics.
